In this video I attempt to mix the Beatles “Come Together” from Abbey Road using digital emulations of some of the tools they would have had available at the time - the REDD .51 console, TG12345 console, J37 Tape Machine, Fairchild compressor, and RS56 EQ. I also cover some of the quirks of mixes from that era, and show a trick for making the mix sound like a band playing in the same room, even if the tracks were all recorded by the same person.
