Whilst sorting through old hard drives I found some footage from years 2020 through to 2023. Over the next few months I will sort through old footage I haven't yet edited and upload them.
The first of these videos features a chase of KiwiRail freight trains 225 and 234 Between Pukekohe and Oio on the North Island Main Trunk Line.
We start off seeing DLs 9325 and 9285 on the climb to Pukekohe before we see it again passing Te Kauwhata. At Te Rapa DL 9279 was added after 9285 was found to have a fault, we continue to follow 225 to Taumaranui where we see DFB 7267 with Train 200 (The Northern Explorer) I believe this was the first time this train had made a timetabled stop at Taumaranui.
We then follow DLs 9659 and 9544 on Train 234 back North from Oio to Te Awamutu before we ditch it there
