Today at the laundromat I watched a 10-year-old boy play one of those quarter-pushing gambling machines. His great-grandmother was cheering him on, not realizing what she was planting in his spirit.
At first even I thought, “I wish I had money so my grandson could play.” But the way this child reacted… the excitement when he won, the attitude when he couldn’t keep playing — it showed me something deeper.
THIS is how fast a desire can be born.
THIS is how early addiction can start.
THIS is how we influence a child without even knowing it.
I always ask myself: Would the Most High Yah be pleased with this?
My answer today was NO.
We have to protect our children’s eyes, their minds, and their spirits — because the world is teaching them even when we’re not. #becareful
