Handel wrote some pieces for Clay's musical clock by 1740. They can be played on organ and are in an interesting relation to the composer's organ concertos: they sound like miniature organ concerto solos. The range of the pieces is limited because of the original small mechanical instrument: two octaves c to c'''. Movements:
1. Gigue, 2. Air, 3. Voluntary or A Flight of Angels, 4. Sonata, 5. Air, 6. Gigue.
Tibor Pinter plays on the sample set of the Silbermann organ (1722) in St. Mary Church, Roetha, Germany. Illustrations: musical clocks, barrel organs and the Silbermann organ itself.
