Test Pre WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025 - Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja - NO-HYBRID Hyundai i20 N Rally1

Here we are in the French Alps in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region that will host the 2025 WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo at the end of January. We are here to film the tests that usually occur two weeks before the stage of the world rally championship. In this video, we see the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 driven by Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja, which, as of this year, is without the hybrid system, as per the regulations. This can be seen visually from the absence of active safety lights on the windshield and on the sides of the car, which have been present since 2024, to identify their operation. This allowed mechanics and course marshals to know safely when to touch and operate the vehicle. In addition to this, the two air intakes necessary to allow the hybrid system and the battery pack to cool in the rear bumper has been closed. So, in the 2025 season, the cars will return to being powered only by the 1.6-litre turbocharged internal combustion engine using eco-friendly fuels and capable of developing approximately 380 HP. The lack of the hybrid system makes the Rally1 lighter; the minimum weight decreases from 1260 Kg (2024) to approximately 1180 kg. The flange on the engine intake, as per the regulations, is reduced from 36 to 35 millimetres to keep the weight-to-power ratio unchanged between the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Eccoci sulle Alpi Francesi nella regione della Provenza-Alpi-Costa Azzurra che a fine Gennaio ospiterà l'edizione 2025 WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo. Ci troviamo qui per filmare i test che solitamente si svolgono con due settimane di anticipo rispetto alla gara che aprirà il campionato mondiale rally. In questo video vediamo la Hyundai i20 N Rally1 guidata da Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja che da quest'anno è priva del sistema ibrido, come da regolamento. Visivamente lo si nota dall'assenza delle luci di sicurezza attive presenti sul parabrezza ed ai lati della vettura, presenti del 2024, con lo scopo di identificarne il funzionamento. Questo ha permesso a meccanici e commissari di percorso di sapere, in modo sicuro, quando toccare ed operare sulla vettura oppure no. Oltre a questo, nel paraurti posteriore, le due prese d'aria necessarie per consentire il raffreddamento del sistema hybrido e del pacco batteria è stata chiusa. Dunque nella stagione 2025 le auto tornano ad essere alimentate dal solo motore termico da 1.6-Litri turbo con l'impiego di carburanti ecologici e capace di sviluppare circa 380 Hp. La mancanza del sistema ibrido rende le Rally1 più leggere; il peso minimo diminuisce dai 1260 Kg (2024) ai circa 1180 Kg. La flangia sull'aspirazione del motore, come da regolamento, viene ridotta da 36 a 35 millimetri in modo da mantenere invariato il rapporto peso-potenza tra la stagione 2024 e 2025.
