Dynamic Resource Allocation - the path towards GA
DRA is a new approach for describing resource requirements in a Kubernetes cluster. It was first introduced in Kubernetes 1.26 and continues to remain in an alpha state in 1.29. At KubeCon NA, it became a hot topic because it enables better usage of accelerators for AI use cases.
In this session, we'll give a summary of its design and cover the changes planned for Kubernetes 1.30 that hopefully will set it on a path towards graduation in some future release. After a general round of questions and answers we can split up into smaller groups to discuss individual aspects:
next generation scheduling
using DRA for network management
technical challenges with DRA and potential solutions
developing a DRA driver
