"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him." I Thessalonians 4:14
This song was recorded back in 1983 on the Primitive Quartet's album "Lord, Give Me a Place". This song reminds me that those who die with Christ as their Lord and Savior, are only sleeping in the grave. And if they're only sleeping, they'll get up again! Friends and family members I have that have passed on will get up again when Christ returns! One day, if the Lord don't return, I too will be sleeping in the grave, but I'll awaken in a far better place!
Singers on this album: Norman Wilson (Tenor), Reagan Riddle (Lead), Mike Riddle (Baritone), Larry Riddle (Bass).
Musicians on this album: Not credited. But if I had to guess, Norman Wilson (Mandolin), Reagan Riddle (Rhythm Guitar), Mike Riddle (Lead Guitar), Bruce Penland (Upright Bass), Charlie Chandler (Fiddle), and Tim Chandler (Banjo, Dobro).
Song list from this album: The Love of Jesus is Enough, Some Morning Fair, A Glorious Day, When I Get Home, Whiter Than Snow, Sleeping in the Grave, Calling to That Other Shore, The Sweetest Name I Know, Vision of Calvary, Lord Give Me a Place, Grief Turned to Joy, The River of Jordan
