Tonight marks Rounds 5 and 6 of Season 5 of the Skip Barber Community Trophy as brought to you on iRacing; proudly sponsored by both Musical Money Ltd and Old Git Racing Team!

This time out we conclude our tour of the United Kingdom at Oulton Park. Situated in the northwestern English county of Cheshire near the village of Little Budworth, this circuit has been a staple of the country’s racing series since opening in 1953. Defined by its narrow road width and uncompromising elevation changes, as our drivers take to its 2.69 mile long International Layout (excluding the Britten’s chicane) tonight they shall need to strike the right balance between commitment and overconfidence. With many of its 14 corners involving blind apexes, our drivers shall need to be ready to commit to corner entry, but not overly confident in how quickly they return to full throttle unless they wish to end up in the grass!

In the Drivers’ Championship, Steff Herrmann has taken the lead by seven points over Adam Tomkins after continuing his run of podium finishes in a pair of hotly contested races at Donington Park. Although a first win of the season continues to elude him, Herrmann’s consistency is already proving invaluable. However, Tomkins will be keen to show that he can match Herrmann’s consistency after making it two pole positions from two qualifying sessions, and securing his first win in last week’s Sprint Race. Meanwhile, many will have their eyes on both Bryan Kelly and Marcus Byfeldt who put together sensational debut performances, and could serve to shake things up even further in tonight’s races!
