Kansas - The Pinnacle Restored

What would The Pinnacle have sounded like if Kansas hadn't given in to the growing pressure from their record label to come up with shorter, more radio friendly songs? Kerry originally penned The Pinnacle back in 1975 as one 14 minute epic song, only to be cut up much later on during the final recording stages. The first part was renamed Mysteries And Mayhem (the so called "radio friendly" part) and the remainder kept the title The Pinnacle. I've mixed the two back together again to recreate what it could/should have sounded like if Kerry would have had his way. Only the original source material was used for this.
I've said it before but Masque's The Pinnacle might well be Kansas' pinnacle. Like many other Kerry songs from this era it was supernaturally inspired: "It came to me in a dream one night, when a voice began to call" and is the direct predecessor of Carry On Wayward Son (the long awaited radio friendly hit) from their follow-up album Leftoverture.
