Attempted (and failed!) repair of a Quantum ProDrive ELS SCSI HDD

In this video, I attempt (and fail!) to repair an old 80 megabyte Quantum ProDrive ELS SCSI disk, which was originally installed in an Apple Macintosh LC III.
This Quantum disk has a very common problem that, over time, will affect all ProDrive ELS series drives. This problem manifests itself as the drive spinning up, and then spinning back down. This is caused by the head mechanism sticking to the rubber parking position bumper, preventing the head mechanism from moving.
Unfortunately, Quantum chose to locate this rubber bumper in a location BELOW the disk platters, so you need to remove the platter from the drive in order to replace the bumper!
...I guess that nobody at Quantum thought that their drives would still be in use 25 years later....!
