The Game Awards 2023 is a Pathetic, Woke Industry Circle Jerk

The Game Awards 2023 Game of the Year Nominations are live and as usual the internet and gaming community is in a complete uproar with 40 year old Xbox & PS5 Fanboys arguing over which game deserves to win game of the year saying things like "Xbox Tax", "Starfield was Robbed", "Spider-Man 2 is the Greatest Game of all time", etc... On the other hand people are pointing out games like Hogwarts Legacy, Armored Core 6, Starfield (LMAO), and Final Fantasy 16 were snubbed from the nominations entirely in favor of a controversial title like Resident Evil 4 Remake which has people arguing over whether remakes should be allowed or not to be nominated. GOTY 2023 & the Game awards in general in my opinion is a massive waste of everyone's time. The show serves primarily as an outlet for Geoff Keighley to push a bunch of mobile game,s and movie ads for a little over 3 hours with a few announcements and awards sprinkled in every once and a while. Overall the concept that a bunch of games journalists have the authority to decide what is and isn't the best game of the year is a laughable proposition to anyone who actually enjoys video games and is familiar with the obsession with woke politics and hatred for actual gameplay they typically have. Overall the game of the year for whatever year is the game you enjoyed the most and no one else's glorified opinion should have any sway on it whatsoever.
