Hi. Sam from Black Tape For A Blue Girl here asking for your help to fund a Kickstarter for a re-release of ISLANDS, my 1985 pre-BlackTape electronic electronic album. If we reach the $6000 goal, the 2025 remix will be available in three formats: 140-gram color vinyl (two color options), MiniDisc, and cassette.

I’ve completely remixed the album, it sounds great now! In the video are pictures of me back in South Florida when I was 19. ISLANDS was the first time I worked with bandmates. Oscar, Lara + Dave were all in the Miami-based band The Sleep of Reason. ISLANDS is proto-BlackTape, as Oscar and Lara were on THE ROPE released 8 months after ISLANDS. Check out the Kickstarter page, there are cool premiums to pledge.
