We started off with a short walk around the Mills surrounding area with the idea of perhaps a longer walk another time. In addition to our usual walks, we included a tour around the Text Museum with displays describing the historical development of the Wool and Cotton textiles. Michae's historical knowledge helped elaborate on the information displayed. Not forgetting of course the friendly helpfulness of staff many volunteers on the reception and cafe.
Hemshore Mills is just off Holcombe Road B6235. The two mills built on the River Ogden in Hemshore Lancashire. Free car parking available, light refreshments and amenities in entrance of the museum.
