Brett introduces the formulas used for factoring difference of perfect squares and perfect square trinomials beginning with a simple example and working our way up to more difficult factoring with repeated use of the difference of squares formula. Problems include factoring: x^8 - 1, and 4x^2 - 12x + 9.
