My third time visiting Dublin for plane spotting purposes. After seeing that Ryanair had flights between Edinburgh & Dublin for less than £20 each way, I decided to book a day trip so I could go do some plane spotting at Dublin Airport on April 24th 2025. The outbound flight was Ryanair flight FR815 & was a very uneventful flight. We managed to push back from the stand ahead of schedule & we also managed to land 15 minutes ahead of schedule, so all in all, this was a great experience with Ryanair! The aircraft being used for this flight was registered as EI-EMF, which is a 15 year old Boeing 737-800. One thing that stood out for me on this flight was that this was the first flight from Edinburgh I have taken where the pilots turned onto the runway at an intersection. Instead of taxiing to the start of runway 06 via taxiway A, we ended up entering runway 06 via taxiway B instead. In all fairness, it wasn’t a very busy flight so it certainly wasn’t a very heavy aircraft. We were only airborne for 50 minutes so not much to write home about, but it was nice to be able to find this short hop between the Scottish capital & Irish capital for less than £20, £17.67 to be exact, plus extra to reserve seat 5F.
