Hello everyone! In this video I got the opportunity to finally catch a train on the newly rehabbed EX Pan Am Railways Worcester Mainline, now CSX Worcester Subdivision doing a 40 MPH! Ever since CSX took over Pan Am Railways in 2022, there has been a grind to get this 22ish mile connection that is known to CSX as “the gateway to New England” up to class I standards. Under Pan Am Railways this line had been entirely 10 MPH for the longest time and within a couple years that speed has gone from 10 to 25 and now 40! In this video CSX’s M427 manifest from Portland, Maine to Selkirk, New York is ripping through Lancaster, Massachusetts on the once very slow Worcester Mainline.
