A young man shares his story of working on the W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch in Pomona, California.
1944-46 was a time when the ranch was home to the Army Quartermaster Remount Depot, continuing the Arabian horse breeding programs. German and Italian prisoners of war worked on the farm side, Lippizaner horses arrived from Europe, and Hollywood still needed horses. Every Sunday, there was a show for the public.
A time when Army personnel, University of California hires, and W. K. Kellogg hires worked together.
