This is the time of year I love to fish along Hwy 1 near Grand Isle, LA. Sometimes it's more fun to leave the boat at home and fish from shore or wade the flats. Today that was a great strategy because the stormy weather would have ended the trip if were I in a boat.
We caught quite a few specked trout and a couple flounders today and 90% of the fish were caught on twitch baits or jerk baits. My most productive lure was a sinking twitch bait from Nomad Designs, the Madscad.
