I really love spalted beech. Nevertheless, this one was quite a challenge. I waited two or three months too long before I turned it, so the wood already was pretty soft.
I used a good amount of sanding sealer to stabilize the wood so I could sand it more easily.
The bowl will be left to dry for a few weeks before I will put on the finish (hardwaxoil).
