FALLEN FLAGS MERCH. STORE:
Shot between circa 1975 and 1979, these terrific films cover an era of transition for Amtrak, with secondhand E8s and FL9s intermingling with brand new F40 locomotives and iconic Delaware & Hudson Adirondack equipment running right alongside the Turboliners that will soon supplant it.
The majority of this in Western New York, including very early Lake Shore Limited and dearly-departed Niagara Rainbow footage, and we close it out in the Hudson Valley. If you like 'dog's breakfast' lashups; bloody noses cavorting with all-blacks and red, whites and blues, this rare footage is worth seven minutes of your day.
Please subscribe! This is Part One of this miniseries, and it's hard to convey just how much iconic and unique content we have coming in the very near future.
