Happy belated birthday IA! Today I'm bringing you a translation for The Future of the Past and the Machine's Song by Mayuko. I thought that I should translate an IA song to celebrate her birthday, but I couldn't think of any that I wanted to do. Then I remembered seeing a Kaito/IA duet song in the rankings months and months ago, so I thought I'd revisit it.

I wasn't disappointed; this song is absolutely gorgeous. The instrumentals are so lighthearted and the lyrics are very pretty, so I hope I captured them well enough in English. This song reminds me a lot of WORLD'S END UMBRELLA, as the ticking in the end is present in both, and the illustrations are similar~ I love them both so it's really great.

I've not listened to Mayuko before this, but she has several Rin and Len songs that are worth checking out!
