In Disney's Zorro, Diego didn't have much luck with the ladies; they always seemed to prefer his alter ego to himself. And Anna Maria Verdugo was no exception, but she was the one whose loss seemed to matter the most to him.
To be honest, I actually wish that Diego had ended up with Moneta Esperon, who seemed to like both Diego and Zorro without comparing one to the other.
