Reviewing the Huawei Freebuds 6i, the latest true wireless earbuds (TWS) to hit the UK for under £100 with some incredible Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). The Huawei Freebuds 6i are among the absolute best earphones I've reviewed at this budget price for blocking out external sound. Plus, the triple mic setup is great for chatting on the move.
Sadly it's not all fantastic news here. The Huawei Freebuds 6i lag behind many other 2024 true wireless buds when it comes to battery life, for one. You'll enjoy just four hours of audio streaming before you'll need to stick these earbuds back in the charging case. That's with ANC switched on, of course.
Likewise, the Huawei Freebuds 6i won't blow you away with amazing sound quality. They're fine for podcasts, but music sounds rather flat overall, lagging behind rivals like the Nothing Ear.
If you're not an audiophile you'll find plenty to like here. The touch controls work well, even if they're tap rather than squeeze. And the Huawei Freebuds 6i are light and compact like many true wireless earbuds in 2024.
