The Carretera Austral is one of the most remote and legendary roads in the world.
Over 1,200 kilometers through the wild south of Chile, this road cuts through Patagonia with gravel, rain, ferries, waterfalls, and long stretches where there is simply nothing. No big cities. No shortcuts. Just the road and the weather.
We are BikeMitUns, traveling by motorcycle from Alaska to Ushuaia.
In this video, we ride the entire Carretera Austral from start to finish — including moments we never planned for, riding in heavy rain, reaching the end of the road, and finding our own way further south.
For many riders, the Carretera Austral is the highlight of South America.
For us, it became an unforgettable part of our journey.
