Gothic Remake Nyras Prologue - Feedback and Review

In-depth critique/analysis of the Gothic 1 Remake demo by Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic. This demo is a stand-alone scenario created from the game's modding kit in which you play as Nyras when he's first thrown into the barrier, tasked with a few basic quests, character interactions, and combat opportunities while exploring the starting area around the exchange zone. This demo does not entirely represent what the full game will be like, but it's the first playable demo that's been made available to the public since the disastrous "Playable Teaser" that launched at the end of 2019. As such it's difficult to take anything too seriously in this demo, not knowing what exactly is intended just for this one limited scenario versus what might be part of the full game. Regardless, it seems like a massive improvement and leaves me feeling much more confident in the remake now than I was five years ago, but if this demo is any indication then it would seem like there's still work to be done on making the final game as good as it can be.
