A few Months after Godzilla killed Gaira, Gaira had slowly been regenerating under water. Gaira's brother, Sanda, came across Gaira in the woods. Before the two could reunite, a Meteor appeared out of a Volcano, and Exploded on the ground. Godzilla appeared out of the Meteor, and challenged the Gargantuas. Gaira was ready for a rematch, but Sanda wanted nothing but peace. Godzilla and Gaira fought for a while, before Godzilla stood still, and turned into his true form, MechaGodzilla III. Sanda and Gaira went to hide. Gaira hid in the water, while Sanda hid in the woods. MechaGodzilla found Sanda in the woods and started attacking the Gargantua. Gaira noticed Sanda was getting hurt, and helped Sanda battle MechaGodzilla. Sanda was able to take off MechaGodzilla's head, but MechaGodzilla was still alive. Gaira punched MechaGodzilla to a ditch, but MechaGodzilla flew away.
