The Conjuring Interview: Patrick Wilson & Vera Farmiga on the Emotional Toll of Filming Last Rites

When you've spent over a decade in the same role, it's emotional to say goodbye. This is a truth that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are living as the final chapter in The Conjuring universe prepares for its theatrical release. The pair once again return to the supernatural investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring: Last Rites, bringing the acclaimed franchise to a close with the real-life case that closed out the Warrens' career, the Smurl family haunting of 1986. And although Last Rites marks the end of a chapter in their career when it releases on September 5, the pair agree they are both better for having lived in these roles.
