We’re deep in the interior of Sabah for Day 2 of our cross-state drive from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau.
Along the way, we:
Stayed the night at a cozy community homestay in Sapulut
Encountered Class 1 Protected Rainforest (watch out for wild elephants!)
Discovered a possible brake problem in the Pajero
Visited Sabah’s “Lost World” – Maliau Basin
Found a volcanic mud pit by the roadside
Returned to my childhood home in Tawau where my digital journey began
From jungle roads to family workshops, this day was full of beauty, nostalgia, and small breakdowns (literally).
