Pettinare la lana nel Medioevo/ Wool combing in the Middle Ages

(SUB ENG) La pettinatura della lana è una delle modalità utilizzate nel Medioevo - e ancora oggi - per preparare la fibra alla filatura. In questo video, ho seguito le istruzioni contenute nel Trattato dell'Arte della Lana del XV secolo per tentare di ripetere nel modo più fedele possibile gli antichi gesti compiuti per svolgere questa operazione, utilizzando come strumenti la riproduzione di reperti originali.

Combing is one of the technique employed in the Middle Ages - and still today - to prepare the wool fibre prior to spinning. In this video, I followed the instructions contained in the Treaty of the Wool Guild from the 15th century, to try to reproduce as close as possible these ancient gestures, using tools made after original finds.
