Follow along in this video where I try a technique new to me: frost scraping beaver pelts.
Frost scraping is a traditional way to prepare a beaver pelt in extreme cold weather areas. You need -20C or -4F to do this method successfully, colder is even better. These are the first three beaver pelts that I have tried this method on. Frost scraping is not frost drying. This is part one of 2 videos that I have made on this topic. It common in the area that I live in to see temperatures dip well below -20C or -4F may as well take advantage of this.
