Tumour Lysis syndrome is an oncological emergency whereby the lysis (or breakdown) of vast numbers of cells leads to the release of their contents, which can have catastrophic consequences for the function of the kidneys, heart and central nervous system.
This video describes the pathophysiology of TLS, risk factors, clinical definition and diagnosis, prevention and management.
