New Local Nature Recovery 🌳 | Lancashire County Council

📢The consultation on Lancashire's first Local Nature Recovery Strategy is now open, and we'd like to hear from you.

🌳 We are lucky in Lancashire to have a diverse and spectacular environment and landscape, stretching from the uplands to the coast, including areas designated for their national and international importance for biodiversity. However, reflecting global and national trends, Lancashire's biodiversity has been declining.

The strategy which also covers Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen aims to restore habitats, stop species loss, help local wildlife flourish, and make our environment more resilient, whilst bringing wider benefits for our residents and funding opportunities for rural communities.
