I joined Perla here this morning on the Perla super fast bus that leaves kumily at 1am.
My plan is to take the KSRTC bus from Perala to Kasaragod so that I can take the video from the front. Mostly private buses. I was traveling in a SARIGE bus from Karnataka which came after 3 private buses.
Perla is a small town located at a distance of 30 km from Puthur on the Puthur - Kasaragod route. It is only 6 km from the Karnataka border. The distance from here to Kasaragod is 29 km and the journey to Mangalore is 1.30 hours. Puthur is a fast growing town located in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.
Our journey is by Palladudukka, Badiyadukka and Nellikkatte by Karnataka Trust Transport Bus. Tickets are FARE 40 Rs.
Adakka is the main agricultural product of the place. Coconut, rubber, cashew nuts, cocoa and other crops. Beedi making is the occupation of many families here. Perla has colonies inhabited by the Koraga tribe. Beedi making is their main source of income and they also make baskets out of bamboo.
