Orangutans | The Last Of It's Kind in Borneo

On our trip to Borneo we spend two days in Kota Kinabalu, after that we headed to Sandakan to finally see what we came for.. ORANGUTANS!

The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre was easy to get to and helps to rehabilitate Orangutans which had been orphaned. Except for the little ones, which need to be taught how to survive in the jungle, all Orangutans are free and attend feedings by their own choice.
Apart from that this video shows scenes from the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre and the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. All three species are threatened or critically endangered to extinction due to the human made decrease of their natural habitat.
