Bone stock IONIQ 5 N. Stock camber, Pirelli P Zero whatever, brake pads and brake fluid.
First time driving the 5 N on track. This happened at a free (!!!) N Track Day organized by Hyundai with Hooked on Driving on November 30th 2024. It was a beginner friendly day, so we had 3 "beginner" groups, 1 "intermediate" group, and NO advanced groups. Even in the "intermediate" group, I had to manage the slower traffic to get a clean track to set a lap time. I was also sharing the car with my wife, so had to be mindful of heat, wear and battery usage. We drove 48 laps in total, with 9 laps under 2 minutes between the two of us. We were doing 15-20 minute sessions and charging the car from an on-site 110 kW charger in the form of a van with power banks lol. I was very impressed with the ~20 minute recharges needed to bump the battery level back after a session.
This video is my 4th hot lap of the day. There's a lot of room for minor improvement in most corners. I forgot to hit the NGB coming out of T6. The car can go many seconds faster by just using a track-oriented tire.
Minimal tire and brake wear after the track day (I was gentle on the tires even on this hot lap!). I did 2-3 cooldown laps (with regen braking only) at the end of each session, and the brake rotors weren't hot TO THE TOUCH. This is insanely impressive brake temperature management for a 2.2 ton car with 600+ horsepower!
