If you’re a 90s kid or ever grew up watching Doraemon, this video is going to hit differently. I visited Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture, the hometown of Fujiko F. Fujio, the legendary creator of Doraemon. What I found was something truly magical — a peaceful Japanese village where Doraemon isn’t just a cartoon character… he’s everywhere.
In this full village tour, I cover:
🟢 Massive life-sized statues of Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo — placed in open fields with a scenic rural backdrop
🎠 Doraemon Park — a fun area where families and fans come to click photos and relive childhood
🚂 Doraemon-themed train running through the station with custom-painted carriages
📮 Doraemon Post Office — where you can send actual postcards with Doraemon stamps and cancellations
🏘️ Traditional Japanese village homes, rice fields, and how this village blends anime culture with local life
🗻 All shot in bright daytime with wide angles, showing the complete setup in ultra-real detail
This isn’t a theme park — it’s a living village that feels like walking into a Doraemon episode. Locals live their regular life while fans come from across the world to relive childhood nostalgia.
📍 Location: Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture
🕰️ Watch till the end for a stunning drone shot of the whole Doraemon zone + a guide on how to reach here by local train.
🎒 Don’t forget to like, comment your favourite Doraemon gadget, and subscribe for more hidden gems from Japan.
