Krook's March - Donkey Kong Country 2 Piano Duet with Myself (40th Anniversary)

Did you guys know that it is Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary today? I just found out, and happened to be releasing this cover today. How appropriate!

Ever stumble upon some sheet music and then you have an idea, I should learn this! Only to learn that sheet music isn't built for practicality and isn't really meant to be performed. I know that's oddly specific, but well, this is one of those times. Let me tell you this one was waaaaay harder than it looks. Easily one of the hardest covers yet. Editing the timing together was a nightmare. But I love how it turned out! This is one of those back burner arrangements I've been working on for months and months. Back from a long vacation and I start with a bang!

Also known as Toxic Tower, Chain Link Chamber and Castle Crush, this music is iconic from the Donkey Kong Country 2 game. David Wise is an incredible composer. His contributions to video game music where innovative and justly recognized. DKC is known for his ambiance and emotion. A solo piece would not have done justice as of many of his works, so to more fully capture his vision of the piece I chose to do a duet with myself!
