This animation developed by Urology Partners demonstrates the procedure involved for a Robotic Assisted Nephroureterectomy and how the Da Vinci robot enhances the precision of this procedure.
The procedure is used to remove a transitional cell carcinoma (tumour) where the whole kidney and ureter are both removed. The minimally invasive surgery involves just a few small incisions, reducing pain and scarring and also reduces the risk of infection.
