I booked this safari in Sigiriya, thanks to the great owner of the hotel in stayed: Eight Wonder hotel Sigiriya. he arranged the safari that I could find the most elephants to see, guided us about best time of the day and connected us with a good private vehicle, good driver and as every single sri lankan, a super friendly and kind man.
The safari takes 2 hours going from Sigiriya. Sri Lanka is a cash country! keep in mind this, most of local business only take cash.
the cost of the safari varies, we paid around $50 usd.
