Part 2 of our overland water setup is here! After installing the 10‑gallon pressurized tank, it's time to add the OPENROAD Water Heater to our Tacoma. In this episode, we unbox, install, and test fresh hot water in the field—perfect for camp showers, washing dishes, and staying clean on the trail.
What’s featured in this video:
• Unboxing and walkthrough of components
• Mounting the heater to our truck + hose connections
• Fuel options: butane or propane canisters (adapter sold separately)
• Power via simple 1.5 D batteries—no wiring needed
• Real-world heat & flow test: up to 140 °F, 0.5–1.3 GPM at 3–130 PSI
Why it’s a game changer for overlanders:
• Hot showers in minutes at any campsite
• Hands‑free, lock‑clip shower nozzle
• Lightweight (approx. 10 lb) and compact (11.8″×4.7″×14.6″)
• Ideal for rinsing pets, dishes, or gear on demand
To recap:
• 10-gallon aluminum tank (installed previously)
• NOW paired with OPENROAD Water Heater: battery-powered, high-temp, pressurized setup
• No external power needed—pure campsite simplicity
