We get a lot of questions about how to train hitters to have better vision. The difficulty with the term vision is that when many coaches use it, they are referring to the time period in the air when the hitter is contacting the ball, and the likelihood of a hitter being able to truly see the ball, the block and the defensive scheme in a couple seconds is incredibly difficult. The best hitters in the world don’t rely solely on the few seconds in the air; instead, they get 70% of the information they need before they leave the ground, and get the 30% in the air by sensing, not seeing!
