ILLEGAL DUMP CLEANUP

This customer was trying to sell their empty lots. But, unfortunately kept having people dump trash, brush, logs, and construction debris throughout the property. Since the lots are vacant it seemed to be a free for all for illegal dumping and the city was going to fine the owner. Amazingly, most of this could have been dumped for fairly inexpensive. Greencycle in Indy takes all brush, logs and yard waste and recycles the material. Their fees are minimal compared to taking it to the landfill. They grind it all up and turn into usable products like landscape mulch, compost and topsoil!

I understand dumping it on an empty lot is free. But it cost this land owner thousands of dollars to clean it up. It would have cost even more if the city fined them. Possibly next time you have a load of trash think twice about dumping it on another person's property. Ask yourself, would I want that done on my own property?!

It's the Golden Rule, Treat Others As You Want To Be Treated!

Check out Greencycle or look up brush recycling in your area before dumping it on someone else's lot. I would imagine most cities would have some type of company similar that offers this service. Or check with your landfill to see if they offer brush/log recycling!
