🎸 1960s Gibson ES-125 TDC | Vintage Semi-Hollow Modded & Demo’d – Room + Studio 🎸

In this video, I demo a vintage 1960s Gibson ES-125 TDC—a beautiful semi-hollow with serious character and a long, modded journey. Originally outfitted with dual P-90 pickups, this guitar was later routed and fitted with vintage DiMarzio humbuckers by a previous owner. Eventually, I installed a pair of modern Seymour Duncan PAF-style pickups to give it a classic voice with smoother output and tonal balance.

You'll hear it played live in the room so you can see how it resonates and responds naturally—and then again in the studio, properly mic’d and recorded to hear how it sits in a mix.

The Gibson ES-125 TDC (Thin, Double Cutaway) debuted in the late 1950s as a more versatile evolution of the single-cutaway ES-125. With its dual P-90s and fully hollow body, it became a favorite for jazz, blues, and early rock players who wanted warm, responsive tone in a comfortable, lightweight form. Though not as flashy as an ES-335, the ES-125 TDC carved its own path—and modded examples like this one show just how flexible and inspiring these guitars can be.
