Green or red yarn (tree)

Brown yarn (trunk)

Light yarn for hanging loop

Crochet hook suitable for yarn

Yarn needle

Scissors

Abbreviations (US Terms)

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

sl st – slip stitch

st(s) – stitch(es)

inc – increase (2 sc in same st)

rep – repeat

BLO – back loop only

Notes

The tree is worked flat, back and forth in rows.

Each row starts with ch 1 (does not count as a stitch).

Row 1:
Ch 2, 2 sc in first ch. (2)

Row 2:
Ch 1, 2 sc in BLO, 1 sc. (3)

Row 3:
Ch 1, 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc. (4)

Row 4:
Ch 1, 2 sc, 1 sc in each st across. (5)

Row 5:
Ch 1, 2 sc, 1 sc in each st across. (6)

Row 6:
Ch 1, 2 sc, 1 sc in each st across. (7)

Row 7:
Ch 1, 2 sc, 1 sc in each st across. (8)

Rows 8–10:
Ch 1, sc in each st across. (11 sc per row)

🎄 Bottom Section

Row 11:
Ch 1, 6 sc, ch 1, 6 sc.

🌳 Trunk (Brown Yarn)

Fasten off.

🎀 Hanging Loop

Attach light-colored yarn at the top of the tree and ch 10–15 (or to desired length).
Fasten off and secure.
