I saw 8 new patients over the last week at my office and most of them shared that they have been dreading the appointment because they had been recently diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease (CKD) and are concerned after reading about stage 3 cancer. I understand that feeling because most of us view the stages of disease the same as the 4 stages of cancer.
