DN3D Snake Drone Test (WIP)

A WIP Snake Drone enemy for a Duke Nukem 3D mod I am working on. It's based on the Sentry Drone which, funny enough, was what the Snake Drone was replaced with in the final game. The sprites are from a beta copy of Duke Nukem 3D, and was originally posted (I think) by Hendricks266 on the Duke4 Discord.

As you can see in the video, the Snake Drone charges at Duke from a distance; something that the Sentry Drone (and even the Snake Drone in the beta) does.
However at close range, instead of exploding, they have a spit and a bite attack. At the moment, this projectile is identical to the Assault Captain's spit, but it may change at some point in the future. A close range bite attack is also planned to be implemented at some point.
The Snake Drone, like Sentry Drones, also dodge incoming projectiles and explode upon death. The Shrinker and the Freezethrower do not effect them as well.
In terms of speed, it can outrun a Sentry Drone AND Duke if he's walking. However if he is running it still doesn't have enough speed to catch Duke. While these things might not seem deadly enough by themselves, in groups they can become a real pain to deal with (again, much like the Sentry Drones.)
Snake Drones are planned to be weaker than Sentry Drones, measuring in at only 100 health compared to the Sentry Drone's 150.

In a way, it's kind of a remake of what the Snake Drone was supposed to be.

Finally, some observant viewers might notice that I touched up on the sprites a little bit, fixing any holes or discolorations that the original sprite had (there were quite a few single pixel holes that were noticeable when it was up close.)

Like I said before, this is still a work in progress. The code is nowhere close to being as good or refined as I would want it to be. I do not know when I will have this finished, but I can assure you that it will be done.

Side note: I recorded this instead of sleeping. Explains why I'm not on my game in this video when fighting the army of them.
