Have you heard about praxis or motor planning? Watch this video to understand what praxis means in occupational therapy!
In this video, Dave gives a quick presentation about praxis to some of the MoveAbout occupational therapists (OTs). They also complete a simple task which helps to demonstrate some difficulties with praxis. If you'd like to try the task, all you'll need is a pencil/pen and a piece of paper!
The OTs make interesting observations about compensation techniques and difficulties with regulation that they experienced when engaging in this task that challenged their postural and praxis skills!
