On March 3rd, 2019 at Oxnard Levity Live, I got to meet my favorite comedian of all time, Norm Macdonald, in the green room before his stand-up set. Barry Sobel opened that night and sat at my table, and Jeremy McKiernan (another opener) snapped the photo of Norm and me backstage. As you can hear, Barry Sobel ends up talking a lot in the background of this recording. For months I’ve been testing every new editing tool I can find (including AI tools) to edit this video… trying to separate Norm’s voice and the crowd’s laughter from Barry Sobel’s talking in the background.
None of these tools has worked without distorting Norm's voice or removing entire words he says. So if anyone knows a way to edit this set so Barry’s voice is removed (without losing Norm or the audience), please reach out.
