In this video from The CTAD Clinic, Dr Mike Lloyd discusses his concept of Signposting. This is a type of internal communication that has been seen to be effective in clinical settings to help people with Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD) and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) prepare dissociated parts / alters in advance of something about to happen. New or different experiences can be challenging and threatening for people with traumatic histories, and Mike describes how signposting can help alleviate anxiety internally, reassure parts and improve the ability to approach such situations.
