After 5 years of dreaming, I finally made it to China! In this video, I share the story of how I got a fully-funded scholarship to study at Peking University Health Science Centre (北大医学部), why I moved from the UK, and what it’s like doing neuroscience research in Beijing.

🎓 I’m currently a PhD student working on rare genetic small vessel diseases of the brain, using stem cells and organoids to model disease and explore treatments.

What made this move possible? A research exchange opportunity, a supportive supervisor, and China’s incredible scholarship programs for international students. I break it all down, from how I got here to what I’m working on.
